About Us

Autism Society Greater Long Beach/San Gabriel Valley is a non-profit 501c3 organization founded in 1971, and an affiliate of the Autism Society, a National organization. Our Board of Directors is composed of all volunteers.

We provide information and referrals about behavior problems, education and treatment programs, your child’s right to a free appropriate public education (FAPE), inclusion, how and where to obtain an evaluation and diagnosis, specialized facilities such as camps or residential programs, federal and state legislation, how to be an advocate for your child and more.

In addition, we also provide the following support:

  • Monthly Family Support Meetings
  • Social and Empowerment Programs for individuals with Autism and their Siblings
  • Publish a Quarterly Newsletter
  • Lending Library
  • Sponsor Workshops and Conferences throughout the year
  • Warm Line available from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Spanish Outreach
  • Autism Awareness and Information Events
  • Scholarships
  • Provides Speakers for Community and School groups interested in the subject of Autism
